From the ridgelines of Constantia to the edge of the Atlantic. 42km - through 7 iconic wine farms, over Table Mountain and down to the coast. Ancient footpaths and untamed single track, with climbs that bite and descents that burn.
The routes are wildly beautiful. The climbs, relentlessly tough. This is the Cape Cobra Trail Marathon.

Don’t be fooled - this 21k bites. The opening climbs set the tone, rewarding you with epic views and winding single track, before steep and technical descents.
Perfect for trail newcomers, but just as fierce if you choose to push the pace.
Go easy or go all in, either way, you will need to dig deep to conquer this half challenge and…

COLLECT EVERY STRIKE
Next year all Cobra entrants will receive a limited edition Strike 2 | 2026 velcro patch to attach onto a new Cobra race pack. Anyone that completed Strike 1 | 2025 will also receive their badge upon entry into the 2026 edition. Collect all the badges and wear them proudly. Become the Cobra.

1. THE PURSUIT
Position is everything now. It’s about the hunt. The surge. The moment you strike.
Somewhere along the route, the game changes . You’ll be watched. Tracked. Ranked. And you wont know where it begins, until you are already in it.
Whoever moves up the most positions between two specific timing points, claims the title.
When the moment strikes, will you hunt like a cobra or get swallowed whole?

2. SEGMENT Strike
Trail snakes, this one’s for you. Selected Sponsored Strava segments along the route are your battleground.
Push hard, clock the fastest time and claim epic prizes and bragging rights from our sponsor partners.
Just make sure your watch is tracking and stick around until prize giving to find out how you stack up on the day!
Look out for more prizes and segments. The segments will be short, steep, sharp and savage.
So save a little gas, if you dare.
3. CREW showdown
This one’s for the trail tribes. The wolf packs. And the rivals.
Form a crew of 3 runners. Individual finish times are combined, and the fastest total time wins.
Three winners per distance- Male. Female. Mixed. And a permanent mark in the Cobra Hall of Fame.
Run together. Strike together. Become the crew to beat.
How to enter: Email us your crew name and the names of all 3 runners. (Must be officially entered in the race.)
